But not to worry as I am sharing an insanely effortless and delicious recipe that’s tasty on the tongue and won’t give you the guilt of gobbling calories.

Many people wonder if consuming mimosa is suitable while following a keto diet, well with the right combination of ingredients, you can enjoy a mimosa and still stay in ketosis.
Is Champagne allowed on keto?
Wine and Champagne are relatively low on carbs. Dry wine such as Sauvignon Blanc has just 2g of carb per glass, while Champagne has even less, just 1g of carb for the same serving size. Hence, they can be enjoyed while following a keto diet.
What can be a good substitute for champagne in a mimosa?
If you are looking for an alternative to champagne, you can try Cava or Prosecco. Both of them are extremely low carbs wines and mixes well with the juice.
Are there any keto orange juice substitutes?
The classic mimosa contains orange juice, which is excessively high in carbs.
According to FoodData Central just 100g of OJ contains a whopping 10g of carbs, with 8 of them being sugar.
Since oranges naturally contain sugars there is no such thing as a sugar-free orange juice.
That is why this keto diet mimosa recipe is made with diet orange crush soda which doesn’t contain any carbs or calories and tastes quite similar to OJ.
You may be able to fit the real orange juice into your daily macros but the fact is, it’s a very high carb drink and you will be sacrificing having almost any other carb sources throughout the day and could even be risking kicking yourself out of ketosis.

What juices are low carb?
Lemon, Lime, or grapefruit juice are great options for a low carb mimosa. They are low in carbs and full of flavour. Blueberries or Raspberries can also be included but in a moderate quantity.

This low calorie mimosa has 91 calories.
What you’ll need:
- 4 oz chilled Dry Champagne (look for brut or extra brut on the label)
- 4 oz diet chilled orange crush soda or Sugar-free orange juice
- Champagne glasses
- Orange slice and peels for decoration (optional)
How to make the perfect keto mimosas?
The best ratio for Champagne and Orange Juice for mimosa is 1:1. (you can adjust the quantities according to your taste too)
- Fill the Champagne glass half with your chosen Champagne.
- Now add the diet Orange Juice.
Following this sequence will make the cocktail mix on its own and won’t make a sticky mess at the top of the glass.

If you are making mimosas for guests, keep in mind to make it just before serving, preparing it too early will result in the loss of carbonation.
Decorate the glass with a slice of orange and some orange peels if you want to be fancy!
You can also experiment with other low-carb juices for different variations of taste.
