Total Time 15 minutes

Ingredients

For the Smash Burgers:

  • 1 lbs. lean ground beef
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 small zero net carbs tortillas
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or 8 slices of American cheese)
  • 1 tbsp Cooking oil for frying

For the Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup dill pickle relish
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • ½ tsp paprika powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

For Toppings:

  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • optional: a few slices of pickles

Instructions

     Smash Burgers:

    1. Season ground beef with salt and pepper, and form into 8 balls.

    2. Flatten each onto a tortilla.

    3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a bit of oil.

Cook the tortilla, meat side down, pressing the beef into a thin patty, for about 3-4 minutes until it starts to brown.

    4. Flip, add shredded mozzarella cheese on the beef, and cover with a lid to melt cheese for another 2-3 minutes until done. Repeat for all smashed tacos.

    Sauce:

    5. Mix mayonnaise, dill pickle relish, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small bowl.

    Assembly:

    6. Top each beef patty with lettuce and onions, drizzle sauce to taste, and fold into tacos. Serve immediately for a tasty Big Mac smash burger tacos experience.

Notes

Tips:

You can also use American cheese slices instead of mozzarella cheese.

Add some pickle slices for an even tastier taco.

Leftovers:

I recommend eating your smash Big Mac tacos fresh when they are hot off the pan. You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Place them wrap-side down onto a hot griddle for 2-3 minutes to reheat.

You can store any leftover homemade Big Mac sauce in a small container in your fridge for up to 4 days.
