Here’s everything you will need to make these easy keto-friendly treats:
- Almond Butter – For this recipe, use room temperature smooth almond butter with no sugar added such as this one.
- Cocoa powder – This is the only dry ingredient in this recipe and will add a rich chocolate flavor to your cookies. Make sure you use unsweetened cocoa powder.
- Sugar Free Maple Syrup – This sugar-free maple syrup brand is the best I’ve found as it actually tastes like real maple syrup without that yucky aftertaste.

How to make the keto chocolate cookies recipe:
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 F (175 C). Take a cookie sheet or a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper.
Step 2: Add all of your ingredients into a mixing bowl and stir until everything is combined.

Step 3: Keep mixing for about 1-2 minutes until a firm ball of cookie dough forms.

Step 4: Measure out 1 tbsp (15 grams) cookie dough balls and place them on your lined cookie sheet with a few inches apart as the cookies will spread slightly in the oven.
Once you’ve measure out your cookies, use the back of the spoon or your fingers to press down slightly.
This recipe should make 10 cookies.

Step 5: Bake in a preheated oven for 8-9 minutes until fully cooked. Take the cookies out of the oven. For best results, transfer to a cooling rack to cool for about 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

You can add in sugar-free dark chocolate chips prior to baking to create keto chocolate chip cookies. For this recipe, add 1-2 tbsp of chocolate chips or chopped up dark chocolate. This will however change the carb count of these cookies so be aware!
Can I use keto-friendly sweetener instead of sugar free maple syrup?
Yes! You can swap the maple syrup for sugar substitutes such as monk fruit sweetener or erythritol.
How long can I store these low carb cookies for?
Store these cookies in an airtight container for 3-4 days. You could also place them in a freezer bag and store for up to 3 months in your freezer.
