Ingredients
Keto Hot Toddy
- 10 oz water
- 1 star anise
- 2 whole clove buds
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 oz bourbon
- 1 tea bag
- 1 tbsp keto honey (see notes) or sweetener
- juice of 1/2 lemon
Instructions
1. Add water, star anise, cloves and cinnamon stick to a small pot and bring to a boil.
2. Let it simmer for 5 minutes, then add the tea bag and let steep for 2 minutes until the color changes slightly.
3. Remove the tea bag and all the spices and pour the clear liquid into a heatproof glass or a mug.
4. Add in bourbon, keto honey(or sweetener like erythritol) and squeeze in the lemon juice and serve while hot.
