It’s that time of year again when the weather starts to cool down and you start to crave all things comfort food. One of my favourites is corn on the cob, and I especially love it when it’s nice and fresh. Dripping with butter, seasoned with salt and pepper, and served with a generous helping of grilled chicken, there’s nothing quite like it as far as comfort foods go.
But what if you don’t have access to fresh corn on the cob? Or what if it’s not in season? Frozen corn on the cob is the next best thing! And it’s super easy to make too – all you need is a microwave, some water, and a little bit of patience!
In this post, I’ll show you how to make the perfect frozen corn on the cob in the microwave.

Can you cook frozen corn on the cob in the microwave?
Yes, you can! Cooking frozen corn on the cob in the microwave is a great way to enjoy this delicious summer vegetable all year round. The taste and texture of frozen corn on the cob are very similar to fresh, and it’s a quick and easy way to get your fix!
How long to microwave corn on the cob?
Microwaving corn on the cob is a pretty quick process and will only take about eight to ten minutes at high power. However, cooking times may slightly vary depending on the wattage of your microwave and the number of ears of corn you’re cooking at once. When cooking more than four ears of corn, be sure to increase the cooking time by one to two minutes for each additional ear.

Do you need to thaw frozen corn before microwaving it?
No, you don’t need to thaw your frozen corn on the cob before microwaving. Although thawing them does reduce the overall cook time, it’s not really necessary, and you can still get amazing results without thawing them first!
